Plain terms for a study app.

1. What MauryIAS is

MauryIAS is a self-study tool for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Union Public Service Commission or any government body. It does not guarantee any result in any examination.

2. Your account

You may use the app without an account. An account is needed only for backup and, later, for paid features.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.

3. Content

The questions, explanations, conversations and notes in the app are our work or are used with permission. They are for your personal study only. Do not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute them.
We check facts against standard sources, but errors can slip through. If you find one, tell us at support@mauryias.com. Do not rely on the app as your only source.
Notes you write in the app are yours. They stay on your device and in your backup; we claim no rights in them.

4. Paid features

When subscriptions exist they will be sold through Google Play or the App Store under those stores' terms. Prices are shown before you pay. Refunds follow the store's policy. Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the current period.

5. Acceptable use

Do not try to break the app, extract its content in bulk, interfere with other users or use it for anything unlawful. We may suspend an account that does.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep the app running and your backup safe, but the service is provided as it is. We may change or withdraw features. If we ever shut the service down we will give at least 30 days' notice and a way to download your data.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost opportunity or examination outcomes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Privacy

How we handle your data is in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.

9. Law

These terms are governed by Indian law. Courts at [city] have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, nothing here removes rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
